As someone who has never had their make up done professionally before I was super anxious about getting mine done for my wedding. All that anxiety was immediately put to rest by Karen when I met her. The trial made me feel so at ease and the moment I saw the magic she had created I knew she was the artist for me! On the day, I didnt think I could love the look anymore than I did but I was completely wrong! The look, the feels, the comfort and talent she brought, I don't have enough words to say thanks. Those who had theirs done on the day were also beyond grateful for her skills. From minimal looks, to natural, to my gothic alternative style, she hit every single brief we asked for and more. The only regret you could have is not booking The Make Up Genie. I'm still in awe!!

The most incredible makeup artist for the most important day of my life!
I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how grateful I am to have had Karen as my makeup artist on my wedding day. From the very first trial to the final touch-up on the day, they were nothing short of amazing, calm, professional, kind, and incredibly talented.
Not only did they listen carefully to what I envisioned, but they also made expert suggestions that enhanced everything perfectly. They managed to strike that perfect balance of glam and natural, so I still felt like myself just the most radiant version! My makeup stayed flawless all day and night, through tears, hugs, dancing, and everything in between.
On a day that can feel chaotic, Karen brought such a calming, positive energy it honestly felt like having a friend with me. My maid of honor and my mom were also absolutely glowing, and we all got so many compliments!
Thank you for making me feel beautiful, confident, and truly special. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. If you're lucky enough to book Karen, know you're in the best hands possible.

Karen is fantastic at what she does. I was so happy with the make up look and it lasted all day. Karen has a lovely gentle demeanor and brings easy chat to the morning. Karen is an amazing makeup artist but also one of the nicest people you will meet. She enhances your natural features while making sure that your makeup lasts into the wee hours of the morning. Before my trial she gave me great skin advice and by the time my wedding came around, my skin was in the best shape it had ever been! She did 6 makeups on my wedding day and each person looked the very best version of themselves and all loved their makeup. I could have stayed chatting to her all day, she creates a lovely calming atmosphere and it feels like chatting to a friend. Thank you so much Karen!

Huge thanks to Karen for my wedding makeup. I was so nervous to have someone else doing my makeup, but Karen was so helpful, prompt and professional to deal with which really put me at ease. Karen did exactly what I was looking for and I really felt like I looked like myself on the day.

Karen was such a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. She is an absolute professional and did such a fantastic job on the makeup for my wedding, I just loved it! She had six of us to get through on the morning and she did it with ease. She really made the effort to make sure everybody was happy. I couldn't recommend her more!

I had Karen as my MUA for my wedding back in April and she was absolutely incredible. From the onset she was so responsive and insightful and really put me at ease as I don't normally wear much make up. During my trial, she listened to my concerns and created a beautiful natural dewy look that was so complimentary and long lasting. She was also able to give me skin care recommendations as well as being so much fun. On the big day, Karen arrived out to my house and made sure we were all so comfortable and relaxed. We all had such a laugh, we didn't want to leave! My bridesmaids and my mum were also so delighted with their make up looks. The make up looked incredible for the photographs and lasted well into the small hours of the night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Karen for her professionalism and expertise.

Karen was a pleasure to deal with. She is wonderful at her job, I am not a person who wears make up regular and wanted something natural looking for an outdoor wedding. Karen did a fantastic job, my make up felt light and lasted all day and night. Karen also did make up for my mother and sister, who both loved their make up. Karen also put some glitter on my 4 year old daughter who was flower girl, which was really kind of her to include her in our preparations

Karen was brilliant on the day of my sisters wedding. She did beautiful natural looks for my sister and mum who never wear make up and then went straight into a more dramatic smokey eye and contour for me! She was really lovely, very calm and professional. Would definitely recommend!

To anyone out there looking for a true professional Karen is d lady for you. She did the make up for my wedding and my sisters and honestly it was as good at the end of the night as it was at the church. She really listens to her clients requests and makes you feel and look mega. Can't recommend Karen enough so look her up before you choose your make up artist because truly she is an artist.
